What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy is a specialised, evidence-based approach that helps children express and process their inner world through play. While adults use words to com/municate feelings and experiences, children naturally use play. In play therapy, children work with a trained therapist using toys, stories, art, and imaginative activities to “speak” in the way they understand best.

This approach is important because it supports healthy emotional, social, and psychological development. Through play therapy, children can safely explore difficult emotions, build confidence, develop coping skills, improve com/munication, and work through trauma or life changes—often more effectively than traditional talk therapy.

The process

1

Parent intake session

A warm, private consultation where we discuss your child’s history, current challenges, and your goals.
2

Individual Play Therapy sessions

Your child attends weekly 45–50 minute sessions in a specially equipped playroom designed for emotional safety and expression.
3

Therapeutic feedback

Regular check-ins with parents to share progress, insights, and home-based support strategies.
4

Collaboration (when needed)

With your consent, collaboration with teachers, doctors, or other professionals to support your child holistically.
